Watching Wrestling? Not without WWE DVD collection !

Saturday, August 14th, 2010
Wrestling fans cannot simply talk about wrestling dvd or wrestling videos without citing or talking about the WWE library because the largest collection of professional wrestling videos and copyrights in the world currently belongs to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) video library. According to the data on Wikipedia, the library currently has about over 95, 000 hours of content with increasing hours every week coming from monthly pay-pay-views, house shows, RAW show, Smackdown Shows, ECW shows, and so on. Through Vince Mchahon’s (owner and Chairman of the company) brilliant strategy and marketing skills, he eventually bought out most of the competition, making his WWE the biggest global wrestling federation/ company in the world.

The WWE DVD video collection currently consist of all its own federation tapes starting from Capitol Wrestling Corporation in the 1950s to the present WWE. It also has the rights to any WWE produced ventures such as cartoon series featuring Hulk Hogan, the XFL, and all the currently produced WWE Films.

What makes the WWE DVD library the largest in the world is its ability to buy out and purchased libraries of now defunct wrestling organizations through out the years. It currently includes libraries from American Wrestling Association, Georgia Championship Wrestling, Extreme Championship Wrestling, Ohio Valley Wrestling, Smoky Mountain Wrestling, Stampede Wrestling, World Championship Wrestling, World Class Championship Wrestling, and the Jim Crockett Promotions. Out of all this, perhaps the most impressive collection is that of the Jim Crockett Promotions collection since it was the major and the largest  NWA member for its entire existence, which later became WCW in the 1980s until WCW left the NWA in 1993. The major acquisition of the collection happened in 2001 when WWE bought out WCW, which contained a significance amount of NWA matches from the 1970s to the 1990s.

If you are a wrestling fan for more than a few years, then you probably know a little or even a lot of history regarding to the industry. You probably have seen superstars such as Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, and so on graced the ring and entertained you time and time again. You have probably witnessed historic moments such as Hogan vs Rock, The Ultimate Showdown, the explosion of Mega Powers, Shawn Michaels betraying and superkicking Marty to becoming the Heart Break Kid, the classic Iron Man Match at Wrestlemania XII, the amazing TLC matches at various PPV events, the chaos and madness of the NWO and Degeneration X, the Extreme Hardcore wrestling, Stone Cold showering his boss with beer , The Rock becoming a household name in the Movie Industry, the Undefeated Streak of the Undertaker at Wrestlemania and so much more.

Having mentioned all those great moments, the best ways to relive them or experienced them for the first time if you are a new fan and to truly pay your respect to these great wrestlers  is to either sign up for WWE 24/7 Channel, or just go out and buy their dvds, which they currently have some impressive titles released.

MONOLOGUE

This is a special edition of HAMMER TYME. Its not often that our producer comes up and says hey want to earn some extra money. Immediately my ears perked up faster than nana’s old hound dog. I have a full plate, I do this column, I write fantasy wrestling role-plays and scripts for two shows a week on a website, and I work a regular full time job and have family, friends and a 13 yr old dog to occupy my time. In addition, I am answering questions from young hopefuls that wonder what its like to be a pro wrestler. The thing I can agree with is a statement Rowdy Piper made on a recent taping of RAW. “I hurt. I am in constant pain every day. But I love what I do and would crawl on my knees to the ring for my fans.” That is exactly how I feel. I have been able to use this column to touch people and I feel that I need to answer the call. Answering the call is not always easy or what you may have in mind. I know myself when I was wrestling for a couple independent groups I retired and came out of retirement more times than Brett Farve. I wanted to walk away but the loyalty and the roar of the crowd was too hard to leave.

I remember one of my first shows. I had finished working an autograph table with Doink the Clown. Besides his zany and crazy behavior, he offered me some very good advice and guidance. Anyway after that I had met a teen-age girl that attended the school where we where doing the event at. She was a reporter for their newspaper. She asked if I could give her an interview as long as I promised not to put any wrestling moves on her. I agreed and her first question was does it hurt? I said it is as any physical activity there is always the risk of injury. I tried to act tough in those days. I thought I was super human and it was not until I broke my back that I realized that I was not Hulk Hogan. I was a man. Gasp! That is the toughest revelation of any performer. We try to be larger than life and I think we forget that we are human and have limits. It is interesting to note that the new wrestling video games now have a feature, which allows resting the superstar to avoid injury. Wait a minute avoid injury? Hey, I thought this stuffs fake and injuries staged for storyline development. Call the media…Oh that would be me.

How is that for an exclusive on HAMMER TYME? You heard it here rest to avoid injury in what supposedly fake. Hmmm must be more than that. I know for myself that it was hard not to want to do more. I think that lead to my injuring my back. I tried either too hard or not enough. One week I wanted to be the heavyweight champion and the next week I was happy just being a jobber.

Another time was when we did an outside show; it was about 80 degrees with no shade or breeze. Myself and another person exchanged complaints about being hot and tired. Just then a six and seven year old came running up to us giving us hugs and wanting autographs. We immediately invoked the “KAYFABE”, signed autographs, took pictures and even gave them our shirts. As they, left the star I worked with turned to me and said that is what it is all about performing for the people. I replied we do it for the kids. He followed up with amen brother. No, it was not Hulk Hogan but he taught me something that day. Unfortunately, I did not understand the meaning of his words for years later.

It is much like working your gimmick. You may think you have it worked out and are happy with it. Then a fresh set of eyes see it and tells you that it has lost something in the translation. Your initial reaction is anger. Who is this chump giving you criticism when he or she is not in the profession? Some two bit nothing or as Bobby Heenan would say “Some ham and egger”. We follow what society teaches us. We only want to hear good and positive we hate the negative. Why hate negative when you can turn it into a positive. Instead of ripping this persons head off set it aside. Thank them for the feedback and when you are in the gym or working on reviewing your last performance consider the demand. (My regret was never taping what I did.) It might just be talking in which case blow it off. You cannot please everyone. Accept it and move on but if lets say it is something, you can control then at least give it thought. I learned my article lacked color and felt like a text wall. When I created HAMMER TYME, I considered those and came up with ways to make that happen.

In some instances, it is not always that easy. We do not always have the ability to make changes. We have someone to answer too. Once I had someone give me some feedback and I made a change. The promoter said did you have permission to do that. I responded no. He made me change it back. He said I had a great idea and would have agreed to the change but needed to send a message that it was not my decision to make. TThat where steps and channels. The point I am trying to make is unless you own the idea or have the power to make decisions ask those who do. Show respect for the hard work of other who receive pay to make the choices that we take for granted. In return, the ones who have the power will generally be receptive and open to your suggestions. Do not let the negative discourage you. Often your boss has more experience than you and its possible he already tried your idea or something similar to it and it bombed miserably or they have a different idea for the result. Be open-minded and best advice is to keep the lines of communication open. Do not assume they know your thoughts or you now theirs. Ask questions! Remember there is no stupid question except the one not asked.

MAIL SECTION

While it is too early for feedback to this new format, I thought I would share an old email I received. It comes from a young man who wants to start a career as a pro wrestler but is concerned about having to leave his family to travel and go on the road.

This can be a very challenging question and stress for an up and coming future star. I remember when I was traveling every weekend. Leave Friday AM get into town Friday PM. Build the ring with the crew, work out, change and do the show. Then break down the ring and travel to the next show. I got in at about 1:30 AM and had called to check in with my friend who was pregnant. Before I knew it, the clock said it was 4:30 and I got two hours of sleep before traveling to the next city. Repeated the schedule of Friday and came home Sunday. I had one other thing to add to Sunday’s schedule. I had been hurt Saturday and needed to bandage me wound.

I thought I would be a hot dog in the ring against the heavyweight champion and to his amazement; I caught him off guard and reversed a whip into the corner. He came out of the corner ready to kill. I was slammed HARD into the corner and he took his open hand and chopped my chest open handed (Ric Flair would have said wooooo!) repeatedly until my chest turned red and began to bleed. He later told me that there would indeed be a rematch and to bring three things. 1) Band aids 2) antiseptic 3) my positive attitude because he said that would carry me far. Not being afraid to step up when I felt the call.

CLOSING

It is for that purpose that I took my time to sit down at my laptop in my relatively quiet office and write this. I am answering the call. This time is different, doing that without lacing up the boots and climbing into the ring.

My friend Frankie DeFalco and I talked the other day. I told him how well I am doing with the writing. He said do what you love. Notice the theme Piper said the same thing. There is life after wrestling. There is wrestling after wrestling. There is happiness you have to find it. Until next time that is all the time for HAMMER TYME.

Heart of a Phighter: WWE on E:60

Friday, July 2nd, 2010
Welcome to Heart of a Phighter

This week, we look at ESPN’s E:60’s look at WWE, along with other thoughts as I break off and think of other things as we go.

I took notes as I watched it online, as I took a nap before it and didn’t wake up on time when it was showing on ESPN. Don’t blame me if these aren’t in exact order. I’m paraphrasing most of what people said, I’m not quoting them.

If you’re interested in seeing what I’m talking about, the link to it is http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=4068016&categoryid=3060647 . Copy and paste that in your address bar or the bar towards the top of your screen, whatever floats your boat.

Pre-E60:

I was kind of interested on what it would be, because WWE was advertising it. One had to wonder on whether or not they’d actually let some things out, or if it would be a sissy. I know ESPN doesn’t look up at wrestling (more than likely, down). The most they talked about WrestleMania 25 before this was on their show Pardon The Interruption, also known as PTI, where the hosts talked about whether or not Rourke was going to show up at ‘Mania for about a minute.

I have to admit though, I don’t particularly love ESPN because they seem to only love what they’ve over hyped, hence why you don’t see them jumping out of their seats in excitement when the Phillies’ (the MLB Champions of 2008) highlights are on, but you see them go nuts with Yankees’ highlights and conversations. In case you still didn’t know, ESPN is an American television company that highlights the sports happenings of the day. Let’s get started now.

E60

When they started, they interviewed John Cena and “Big Show” just a little bit, getting a statement or two about WrestleMania, except you didn’t see the question, you saw the answer. Yeah, they put “Big Show” as his name. I get it’s not his real name, but…come on.

Cena didn’t appear in the rest of it that much, the Big Show only a little more. Show even said he spends 200 nights a year in his trailer, but that didn’t seem like ESPN was trying to make an evil point like most people make about WWE.

They started out with Hulk Hogan making Vince look like a sellout. He said the guys said they were angry that it was being called entertainment, but now, kids and grandparents starting showing up, and they were selling hundreds of dollars of merchandise a night. I had a problem with this, because let’s be honest, Vince picked Hogan to be an icon, which they don’t exactly say, but they talk about if ‘Mania was a failure, touching on Hogan being in Wrestlemania.

The interview with Vince (which was about seven minutes of the thirteen and a half minutes of the segment) was a very personal thing. Vince talked about how his step dad beat him, and the ESPN guy got up and asked about Vince saying that if his step dad hadn’t died, that Vince would have done it himself, which is also known as murder. I can understand him though, as he says about his mother getting beaten (now known as domestic violence, or man-on-woman violence) and things along those lines.

Apparently his real dad came into his life when Vince was about twelve because he had divorced Vince’s mother when Vince was an infant. When he did though, he wanted his son to be a lawyer, which Vince didn’t like. It wasn’t until Vince was 27 that he was given a shot at the business, and he did well with that shot, leading up to what it is.

We also learned that Vince’s worth is about five hundred to seven hundred million dollars. One has to wonder (this wasn’t on ESPN) how much of Vince’s worth has come out of their pocket. Not just when you bought the t-shirt online or at the show, but over the years of watching WWE. For example, let’s say you buy one $20 ticket (or twenty euros, depending on what country you’re from) for every time WWE is in your town, and you’ve been a fan for ten years. If you live in a popular town, you’ve spent at least $200. Multiply this by the millions of loyal fans to the WWE’s product. This isn’t even counting the people buying their merchandise. Sure, you have the costs, but WWE probably makes a good profit on this stuff.

Stephanie McMahon was also on, and she joked her biggest challenge is managing her father. She also said that the writers (yes, those people that at least once you’ve called idiots) are from all walks of life, a real variety of people, coming from places like Conan and Hollywood. Pause that for a second.

Do we seriously have a person on the writing staff from Conan? Conan, in case you didn’t know, is Conan O’Brien, who hosts a late night show. It’s comedy. Comedy. Yeah. This made me bang my head on my desk, too.

Then we had, well, we had one of those people on ESPN, well, let me break for a second..

I can’t be the only person out there who hates it when he’s wearing a wrestling t-shirt outside, maybe taking a jog or walking his dog, and somebody comes up to you and says “It’s fake.” I understand the big spots like ‘Taker’s jump onto the cameraman is choreographed. So are shows like plays and musicals. Why are we not calling shows like musicals and plays fake, then? I could care less if it’s fake, it’s entertaining, and it’s better than most, if not all, of the crappy television we’re being fed to us by networks. I’m really cutting down on this rant I have here, maybe I’ll talk about it next weak.

Now, ESPN didn’t exactly have one of those people who call it fake, but they had Mike Munningham (I probably spelled his name wrong, I don’t really care about him) point out that WWE wrestlers have no pension, no 401k, and that the guy who cleans out the arena has more benefits. When asked how they do this, he says they sign contracts for it, giving their rights away. I would have closed the video if they didn’t say afterwards something along the lines that wrestlers get millions annually, which made me smile, showing that there are just people who only look at one negative part of it.

They showed the WWE Creative Staff Meeting, which was really neat. Michael Hayes (I think) was one of the readers in the segment, and they were going over WrestleMania plans a little bit. There weren’t very many secret details, but I saw Triple H, what I thought was Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, and Finlay. It was interesting, because if you think about it, they have at least a couple of those a week, and it’s there where it’s decided what’s going on our television screens.

They showed some of the neater parts of WWE, like Morrison let the ESPN guy try on his jacket, and it was really heavy on him. Miz’s hat looked cool on him. I wish I could expand on Miz and Morrison, but I will next time…

There’s apparently eleven cameras on RAW, and if you have a bad shot, you do it over again.

Bret Hart was on it, and he was one of the very worst people they could have on the show, because he’ll never grow up about the Screwjob (surprised that wasn’t on this show), and you know he’s still a bit angry at it, as he gave ESPN the statement that there’s only a couple of people in the 80s who didn’t juice…Bret, get over it. I know this isn’t really connected (the “get over it” part), but that’s my thoughts on Bret Hart, and I never really get to say them.

They talked about steroids…and Benoit. As we all know, Benoit, a pretty good wrestler inside the ring, killed his wife and his son before killing himself one day. I remember the day before we found out (where Benoit didn’t show up) as the day I really started hating Morrison before I opened my eyes and took a better look at him, because Morrison ended up beating CM Punk, and we never did get to see CM Punk vs. Chris Benoit, which I can say now would have made me care for the technical aspect of wrestling had I seen it.

They blame roid rage for the murders, since Chris had more testosterone than usual in him. Vince calls it the darkest day in WWE history, which kills me inside, because, he really was a good wrestler, and had he not taken steroids, he would have been in the Hall of Fame. If he didn’t kill his wife and kid you know he’d be there, and..it’s like Pete Rose and the Baseball Hall of Fame. You know he won’t ever get in because of his action, but he really was a good baseball player.

Vince says that WWE is entertainment, and they have drug tests because they’re measured by a double-standard, which I agree they are measured by.

They decided to move off of steroids by having Hulk Hogan talk about Vince like Vince is a robot or something, which is just weird.

Vince jokes that he’s never not going to be in the picture, because he’s never going to die.

That’s the end of the E:60 segment dedicated to the WWE.

I kind of agree with Vince, he’s about sixty-three, and he really could go another ten years easily.

I’m the Philadelphia Phighter, and I’ll be back next week with some more thought.

Rest in Peace, Mr. Kalas. The Phillies games won’t be the same without you.

The Pride of University of Michigan

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010
The University of Michigan is famous for producing some of the most reputable leaders of the country. They hone the minds of Justices and state leaders. One of the most renowned alumni of the University is the 38th president of the United States, Gerald Rudolph Ford Jr.

However, this is not the only achievement Michigan is proud to have. Aside from their highly regarded graduates, they are also home to one of the best university athletics, the Michigan Wolverines. They have varsity teams to represent them in various college sports association.

They have one of the best sports standings in the past decade, as they have been included in the top six of NACDA Director’s Cup seven times. This is a proof of the efforts of the university to be consistent with their team standards.

They have also proven that they have a strong team in various fields. They remain the sole university to have championship trophy in four different sports. These are football, ice hockey, baseball, and basketball.

Among the above-mentioned sports, football is the most celebrated. They won 11 national championships for this sport. They have also more reason to display those Michigan Wolverine merchandises because their football team is also one of the most envied teams in college football.

Other teams have all the reason to envy the Wolverines. They are among the few teams who have marked unforgettable milestones in the history of college football. They have set an NCAA record in terms of winning percentage and number of games won. One football record that will stay for eternity is being the first ever team to win the Rose Bowl, the oldest bowl game, in 1902. They also have one of the largest football stadium in the world. Who would not want to wear their Michigan Wolverine gear if they have these things to brag about?

The football team has always been strong. It started playing in 1879. Michigan football history clearly shows that the team has dominated the game. After winning the first Rose Bowl, they went on to win in the next three years.

Another notable fact that includes the Michigan Wolverines football is its rivalry with the Ohio State University. In the fan polls conducted by ESPN, the rivalry between the two is the greatest in the American sports in the years 2000 and 2004. The NCAA record they set in 2003 drawing 112,118 viewers when they played the Ohio is one of its proofs.

Snow Bowl is a witness to that rivalry. The name refers to the game between the two in November 1950 where UM defeated the OSU, making them the Big Ten Champion. The game made a mark in the hearts of football fans because of the level of difficulty their athletes endured. They played in unlikely winter weather.

Although the team seemed strong, they also experience some heartbreaking losses. An unforgettable demise happened in 1994 when the Colorado Buffaloes won a non-conference game. It was a painful defeat because everyone thought Michigan had the game in the bag.

University of Michigan has plenty to celebrate in terms of the turnouts of its graduates and the standing of most of its varsity teams, particularly football. They may have failed at some point, but their overall success overshadows it.

Balistik Blabber: Mike Awesome!

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010
This is the 15th “Balistik Blabber” article and in case you just joined the bandwagon, I’m your host Wrestling game, bringing wonderful and sometimes awful memories of ex-WWE stars back into the spotlight! To my regular readers, thanks again for all the support! Your suggestions for this article are always appreciated!

I promised you something “awesome” for this week’s article… and after researching the history of this guy, I am elated to say he is more than just “awesome”; he could very well be EPIC. I bring you one of the most agile heavyweights to grace the ring.

MIKE AWESOME!!

Nowadays we see a lot of “power” wrestlers doing lots of “power” moves like chokeslams, sidewalk slams and powerbombs. Unfortunately, most of them stick to just those moves causing critics to label them Joe-”5-moves”-Wrestler or something like that. Then we have Michael Lee Alfonso~

The cousin and childhood buddy of Horace Hogan, Michael and Horace were impressed at the success of Horace’s uncle Hulk Hogan during the 1980s. Before I continue, I just want to point out people don’t seem to think this 2nd degree connection makes Mike and Hulk Hogan related but oh well, you decide~ After training under Steve “Doink 2″ Keirn, he started wrestling for Steve in Pro Wrestling Federation (PFW) in 1989. After that he wrestled for the United States Wrestling Association (USWA) for awhile and suddenly got a big break appearing in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) for the first time as…

A LUCHADOR!!!

As “The Pro”, he basically jobbed but that is irrelevant. The following year (1990 to those not doing their math), Mike was on his way to Japan to work for Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling (FMW)!!! He used the name “The Gladiator” and began wearing face paint as part of the gimmick.

Standing 6 feet 7 inches, this guy was a sight to behold in Japan! Even more surprising, he was fast! He could run, he could jump, he would even do planchas and top rope maneuvers! It was in this fashion he made an impact in the company! It was here he would begin his monstrous feud with Japan’s rock-headed Masato Tanaka and carry it over to Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW)! Working between FMW and ECW from 1990 to 2000, he got his first major title victories. These include the “FMW Brass Knuckles Tag Team Championship” together with Rick “Big Titan” Bogner in 1993 and then the “FMW Brass Knuckles Heavyweight Championship” against none other than the company’s top performer HAYABUSA in 1995!!! After the match the two warriors embraced and showed respect for one another, truly a classic match… and it is now YOUR assignment to find and watch this match on YouTube! It’ll be worth your while trust me~

Mike was forced to vacate the title due to an injury but later recaptured it in 1996. In a grand victory over W*NG Kanemura later that year he unified it with “FMW Independent Heavyweight Championship” making him a double-belt champion! The guy was ON FIRE as he added the “FMW World Street Fight 6-Man Tag-Team Titles” to his record the following year and thus making him a triple-belt champion!!!

Just a random story during his stay in Japan: he got in trouble with the Yakuza! To those who don’t know, the “Yakuza” is Japan’s version of the “Sicilian Mafia” or the “Chinese Triad”. It happened in one FMW show where some Yakuza were beating the crap out of his friend Sabu (!) and he made the save. This forced Mike and the rest of the foreign talent of FMW to hide out in their lockers because the other members of the Yakuza were waiting to do evil things to them in the hallway! Thankfully, FMW veteran Atsushi Onita was able to grant them safe passage out of the arena and into safety!

Soon after the fall of FMW, Mike returned to ECW (1998) for his second run, along with Masato Tanaka to continue their hellacious feud. With each man picking up the victory after every other match they had, it seemed neither man would be the clear cut winner… until that year’s “August Heat Wave” PPV where Tanaka got the win at the end of Mike’s second ECW run. It would be on his 3rd time with ECW would he earn its top prize in a slobber knocker of a 3-way dance. Fighting against Taz and Tanaka, Mike would end the bout with his signature “AWESOME BOMB” on Tanaka to become the “ECW Heavyweight Champion” in 1999! The gold keeps on pouring with the attainment of the ECW World Tag Team Titles with Raven in 2000!! It seemed like everything was going Mike’s way until that faithful April of 2000… Mike jumped ship to WCW while still the ECW champ, causing mayhem between the 2 companies! Before things got ugly with legal mumbo jumbo, a compromise was reached and Mike Awesome relinquished his title to Taz and continued on with WCW which would lead to one of his most embarrassing gimmicks ever… “The Fat Chick Thriller” and then later… “That 70’s Guy”… I’d like to skip the details but that wouldn’t make this a “fair” look into his career so instead, I’ll summarize: both these gimmicks were “so-so” compared to his “neutral character”. Thankfully, being the great wrestler he is, he still managed to put up impressive matches with these gimmicks. These matches include a grudge with Vampiro and the Insane Clown Posse. Other highlights of this time would be when he Awesome Bombed Hulk Hogan through a table (seriously, not a lot of people got to do that) and also when he threw Chris Kanyon off the first level of a three-level steel cage. Oh yeah, did I mention that “That 70’s Guy” got a talk show segment called the “Lava Lamp Lounge”? Check this one out; he looks like a certain “Shame”.

After nearly a WHOLE YEAR of having these gimmicks, he finally dropped them and became “The Career Killer”. Surely you get the point just by reading those three words? It got changed to “The Canadian Career Killer” when he joined “Team Canada” with Lance Storm and Elix Skipper (I miss these guys…). Together they did great, except one time when Mike lost to Konnan in a “Hair VS Hair” match, costing him his mullet~ In 2001, WCW was finally purchased by the World Wrestling Federation (GASP! THE WORD THAT MUST NOT BE SPOKEN!!!) thus officially tying him to the biggest wrestling company of the country. He was put into the “Invasion” storyline and even got his first title, “The WWF Hardcore Title” (how befitting) when he attacked Rhyno who had just beaten Test for said belt. This was the only decent push he had until he lost the title to Jeff Hardy. Not happy with how the WWF runs things and completely livid at the intense backstage politics, he was extremely (no pun intended) overjoyed when he was fired. After the release, Mike went back to the indies, even appearing on Total Nonstop Action (TNA), and then for “Major League Wrestling” (MLW) in 2003. Here, he became MLW champion for 10 minutes after beating All Japan Pro Wrestling’s (AJPW) Satoshi Kojima. It wouldn’t be until 2 years later we would see him again facing his long-time rival Tanaka on the 1st “One Night Stand” PPV. Although Joey Styles and some of the fans seemed to hate him for his past actions, the crowd still cheered both men and gave a standing ovation to its finish: Awesome Bombing Tanaka to a table outside the ring, followed by a slingshot plancha and the pin.

In the following year of 2006, Michael Alfonso announced his retirement from professional wrestling. He wanted to be with his family and said that the only thing that would bring him back to the ring was a “decent pay”, something he claims he rarely gets. It seemed like a pretty good end to a high-octane wrestling career…

Sadly on February 17, 2007, Michael was found lifeless in his Tampa, Florida home. He was 42 years old and survived by his wife and two children. Why it had to end like this we may never know but wherever he is, I can assure you he’s still as awesome as he was when he was in the ring giving us great wrestling entertainment!

Thank you Mike… rest in peace!

Thanks for reading and I’ll catch you all on the next issue of “Balistik Blabber” to see which ex-WWE talent will be remembered!

What Are People Saying About ? The Hulk

The Macho Man Randy Savage Story

Monday, June 14th, 2010
He was born Randall Mario Poffo in 1952 to the proud parents of Angelo and Judy Poffo. He came into the national wrestling spotlight in his run with the then WWF in 1985. He was one of the major star promotion which helped put wrestling in the modern age we are in now.

His father, Angelo Poffo was a well known wrestler in the 50\’s and 60\’s. His dad was actually featured on an episode of Ripley\’s Believe it or Not for his sit up endurance ability.

Randy began his wrestling career in 1973 during the off season of baseball. He was in the St. Louis Cardinals baseball organization but decided to follow his dad\’s footsteps into the squared circle. Ole Anderson, of the famous Minnesota Wrecking Crew tag team, suggested he change his name because Poffo didn\’t fit someone that wrestles like a savage. Thus Randy Savage became his wrestling name and the rest they say is history in the making.

As mentioned, Savage signed with the World Wrestling Federation in 1985. Several of the big name wrestling managers, such as Bobby Heenan, Jimmy Hart, and Freddie Blassie  thirsted for his services. He chose the lovely and beautiful Miss Elzabeth.

The Macho Man began a feud with Tito Santana over the Intercontinental Title but was unable to defeat him cleanly to claim the championship strap. Finally, he was the gold on the taped program: Prime Time Wrestling.

Savage also feuded with the likes of George \”the Animal\” Steele due to the animals \”crush\” on his manager Miss Elizabeth. Savage has also feuided with the likes of Jake \”the Snake\” Roberts as well.

Many consider the match against Ricky Steamboat at Wrestlemanie III to be one of the greatest matches in history. Steamboat was able to eek out a win with George Steele assistance thus ending one of the longest reigning IC title runs of almost fourteen months.

Poffo, along with Hulk Hogan formed a tag team called The Mega Powers in 1988. As predictable, this team of \”Mega Egos\” were doomed to fail. Savage turned on the Hulkster during a match due to his jealousy of Hogan and Elizabeth.

Savage lost the WWF championship after more than a year as champion to Hogan. Shortly thereafter, Miss Elizabeth was replaced as Savage\’s manager/valet with Sherri Martel. In real life, Savage and Elizabeth were married, but later divorced. That is probably why she was replaced as his valet. Between WWF and WCW Savage has held the world title a total of six times. An interesting piece of trivia for you: He only lost those six titles to two people: Hulk Hogan 3 times and Ric Flair 3 times.

Macho Man left the WWF and signed with competitor World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1994. In 1995 he won the WCW heavyweight championship by winning a 60 man three ring battle royal. He went on to win the WCW title two more times in a few months.

In 2004, Savage signed up with new wrestling promotion, Total Nonstop Action (TNA), but it was short livd due to disagreement with management on title exchanges.

The Macho Man has had several acting jobs. You may remember his as Toby McGire\’s opponent in the first Spiderman movie in 2002. Savage has appeared in episodes of Walker: Texas Ranger and The Weird Al Show. Other credits are King of the Hill, Family Guy and recently provided his voice for a Disney movie titled \”Bolt.\”

Randy \”Savage\” Poffo graduated from Downes Grove North High School in Chicago and attended Souther Illinois University, graduating in 1971.

The Hulk

The Gimmick Part 2

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010
Last week I spoke about the Mask and the advantages or disadvantages associated with this gimmick. While it would be impossible to list every possible gimmick or detail what does and does not work I think of a few that I feel deserve mention as good and bad gimmicks. First, a very serious topic needs addressing. This topic is the subject of great attention and is very controversial. So serious that the WWE has enacted a zero tolerance policy and has released key superstars. Even the immortal Hulk Hogan was the subject of an investigation regarding this topic. As powerful as he was, not even he could defeat this opponent. I refer to the use of Steroids. These drugs have no place in the business and are NOT necessary or needed for ANY gimmick now or ever. While it is, OK to use supplements or protein products a normal diet will provide what you need and save you money and not risk your career. I think of the movie Rocky IV in the movie Ivan Drago used drugs, trained high tech while Rocky trained old school, and won. We are now learning that bigger is not always better. I never even considered that stuff as I relied on my natural ability. I was satisfied with my performance and to me was a no brainer to avoid that stuff. I know some that Super Star Billy Grahm received three hip replacements because of damage from steroids.

Sorry but I felt that topic needed addressing since its tempting for quick growth and strength, so let us get back to gimmicks. I am reminded of the old saying K.I.S.S (Keep it simple Sam) It is possible to keep it simple and still achieve the goal of being larger than Life. I think old school was the easiest gimmick to do, basic trunks or tights, boots, knee pads, and maybe elbow pads and music for your entrance if you wanted it but wasn’t required. It was rare then to use smoke or lights. Robes or Jackets where commonly found and very popular. They even had federette girls who collected the gear and took it back to the dressing room/locker area.

In my day, fireworks indoors where not yet allowed and when the fire department changed their rules, it came at a permit of $1,000. Very few if any small promotion could afford it. Recently as you saw with Jeff Hardy, only trained professionals should use them as even then accidents happen. This reminds me of a Gimmick involving “Fire spitting” The bottle of fluid accidentally knocked over and a small fire started. The show immediately stopped and the fire extinguished. As a result, the show had to find a new home as the lease terminated. So as mom and Smokey the Bear say do not play with fire.

A gimmick that proved interesting was the “DOG” several used this gimmick, a Chair, Bone and Basic gear or as the MoonDogs did and wore Blue Jean Coveralls. The last dog I can recall was WWF Junkyard Dog. This also shows that some gimmicks are best left in the past. For example the Bruiser Brody an uncontrollable monster who was turned lose and just beat the holy hell out of his opponent and often continued after the bell rang. His character was so popular that it was reported that he received an offer of $14,000 a week to fight in Japan. Yet today his gimmick is never used.

The Giant would seem popular but tough gimmick to sell. With 7ft or taller it was send him out and wonder how to knock him off his feet and pin him. Andre the Giant, Giant Gonzales, Eligante, Big Show and Great Khali are memorable Big Men. I also used this Gimmick as I created the “Illinois Trooper” Who was to be a monster-size SWAT team member who had never been knocked off his feet. The gimmick executed simply, figure out how to create the upset and knock him down. During the match it was fun coming up with ways to attempt the impossible. It made for some interesting discussion from fans wondering just how it would happen. We never got to a point of coming up with who or what would finally topple the immovable man.

A Russian brawler is a popular gimmick. There was the Koloffs, Nickolia Volkoff, and currently Vladimir Koslov. Something’s have a way of repeating or being brought back.

Sometimes just changing from a face to a heel is a gimmick in itself. Hulk Hogan was everybody’s hero. As Jimmy Hart put it the gimmick ran out of demand. So they came up with the idea of him turning heel. He went from being the most loved to being the most hated man in wrestling. He also created or helped create the most popular stable gimmick in sports entertainment known as the New World Order. He joined Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. They went on to create a ratings explosion. It also set the stage for several other modern day uses of this gimmick. It showed up in TNA as the originals vs. the new blood. A good gimmick seems to reinvent itself and continue on. When the bad guy gimmick was running out of pop and hype Hogan realized it was time to give the fans what they wanted. He returned to his red and yellow and became a face again. The Undertaker also used this gimmick change. He for a period gave up the darkness and death for a Harley and a biker image. He referred to himself as “The American Badass”. This also introduced new moves as he came up with the last ride and snake eyes. He also used this until it no longer drew the pop and excitement. He then chose to return to his Undertaker persona. It appears that sometimes the original idea is better than the new one. We tend not to embrace change and often hate it. However reinventing a gimmick is sometimes a wise move. After Hurricane Katrina the wrestler “Hurricane” decided it was in bad taste to continue his gimmick…or WWE told him to stop. Either way the hurricane changed his name to Gregory Helms and came up with a badass style gimmick. It was a great show of respect. This reminds me of one other Gimmick gone badly. The WWE had Muhammed Hassan using guys in black with pipes to attack and beat the Undertaker. This came just shortly after a real world terrorist attack. This enraged fans and sponsors. NEVER offend a sponsor unless you want to go out of business. As a result the next day a press release said the storyline was being dropped and Mohammed was being let go. It’s called saving the businesses butt. It worked and taught us a lesson about gimmicks gone badly. Speaking of that…I shiver as I think of Mae Young showing her 70+ year old puppies on PPV. Talk about the gimmick gone badly, thank god I missed that or I would need my eyes burned. This then leads nicely into the next gimmick for me to cover.

Divas are like a sideshow act. Sometimes used and then there are periods where none are seen or even mentioned. Occasionally they get a division going for a while. So girls reading this consider a career, as there always is a demand for these models As Donald Trump has said, “Sex sells”. There have even been tag team, handy-cap and even mixed gender tag team. A diva was even part of a Royal Rumble. Chyna was the first and thus far only female in the Royal Rumble match.

The last gimmick I write of is in honor of a dear friend of mine. I will be doing a separate article on him in the future, but for now, I will address his last gimmick. I say last gimmick because he retired 5 yrs ago and as he said, “Never looks back”.

He was the promoter for the All World Wrestling. His gimmick was General Manager. He primarily stayed backstage but would as the story called would accept a challenge and allow the fans to watch the Boss in action. I mean who does not fantasize about beating there boss now and then. He went by the title Mr. Nice Guy. The GM in itself has made an interesting gimmick and still finds use in the modern wrestling world. Finding the right character for the role of General Manager proves to be a challenge and not very easy. You either hate him/her or like them no neutral stance.

Next article I will be writing about the man who gave me the chance to live my greatest dream. This also will cover the hardest question we face, when and how do we decide enough is enough and retire. Unbelievably there are some great possibilities to keep informed and not get tore up.

The Mind of a Maniac: John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL) Vs. Heart Break Kid (HBK)

Sunday, April 18th, 2010
“Acceptance” by The Importance of Poison begins to play. As a clip is aired of the wrestler performing his craziest moves

Dressed in his finest…eh…”suit”, with his goody bag by his side

Good day. This is your resident maniac, Jay McBang. I have a new bottle of pills and a new topic… so let’s see what’s inside…

The Mind of a Maniac

The random thoughts.

1. Randy and Shane-O Mac was a great match! Both men were brutal (though I’d would have liked to see more blood) and the bring-in of HHH was brilliant!

2. So Hardy vs Hardy will be at WM 25 it looks like. I predict a TLC match, with the winner getting a shot at the brand Champion at Backlash.

3. CAGE ON ECW?!!? I know what I’m writing on next time! :-)4. Usually just three, but this has to be mentioned. The elimination chambers did not go how I planned. I really didn’t want to see Edge/Cena and HHH/Orton again… though both give the potential for great matches.

Now, onto the topic. Three weeks ago, I mentioned I was going to do the HBK and JBL feud. Well… here it is. One of the best, and if you’re a fan of the old days, only true, rivalry the WWE has going right now.

Before we get into the feud itself, let’s take a brief (very brief) look at the participants.John Bradshaw Layfield is a man already destined for the Hall of Fame. He is the longest reigning world champion in Smackdown! history, with his title reign of 280 days. In WWF/E, Layfield is a one time WWE Champion, a one time United States Champion, a one time European Champion, a seventeen time Hardcore Champion, and a three time World Tag Team Champion with Faarooq (Ron “Damn!” Simmons) as part of the Acolytes Protection Agency (APA). He also was a commentator during his simi-retirement, as he tried to find a way to fix his back. Once he got healed, he came back to us as the same-old heel JBL we love to hate. Woo….. Layfeild has had many gimmicks over the years. However, after he made himself a fortune on Wall Street, the WWE began his gimmick as it is today, which is based on his real success and his tough-Texan attitude. (This is important for later). He is one of the better heels, but he can make a really funny good guy when given the chance.Like I said, these overviews will be brief.

Shawn Micheals…. What can I say? He started in Mid-south wrestling, during the decade when it was “the” place to be! His accomplishments include WWF Championship (3 times)WWF European Championship (1 time) WWF Intercontinental Championship (3 times) WWF/E World Tag Team Championship (4 times) - with Diesel (2), Steve Austin (1), and John Cena (1) World Heavyweight Championship (1 time) two-time Royal rumble winner, with one of them have him entering at #1, and he has the First Grand-Slam winner, and the fourth triple-Crown winner. Micheals was also in the first Ladder match and the first Ironman Match. He was also a WWE commissioner, to give his back a chance to heal-up after a casket match with The Undertaker. Micheals is an innovator of matches and is still one of the best promo guys in the business. He and Undertaker are the only two men left that were on the very first RAW. (This is also important for later).

So, how did we get to this rivalry? Believe it or not, it’s quite simple, and it all comes from a movie. No…I haven’t skipped my pills today…..The Wrestler, if you haven’t heard, came out a few months ago, and it’s about an aging wrestler. One of the characters is almost too old and needs money somehow, and get’s an investment from somebody or something along those lines. At first, WWE shunned the movie and didn’t want anything to do with it, but as it became more popular, they tried to incorporate it. In comes the storyline.HBK comes out and admits he has financial troubles. And he had to borrow money from a millionaire. *DING DING DING DING DING DING DING* Out comes JBL and says Shawn is his employee and will do whatever he wants. By the grin on his dumb face, you’d think he’d bought himself a servant more then a man who really can get anybody to the top if he really wanted to help.

So JBL abuses and misuses poor old Shawn, making him do things against Shawn’s morals and pride, even telling him to lie down during a match that JBL won to get to the Rumble Title match. FYI: Shawn took a Clothesline from Hell before he laid down. Good for Shawn!Random thought; When are they going to change the name to Clothesline from Heck or Hades… you know, since we’re playing to the children now.Micheals then had to win a match to get JBL into the chamber. HBK failed, leaving Layfield out of the chamber. He then gives HBK the chance to win his way out of the contract, with JBL paying it in full at a match at No Way Out. JBL abuses Micheals leading up to the match, as HBK can’t strike him until the match at the pay-per-view. In a very physical battle, HBK wins, getting his money and ending the fued….OR DOES HE?!!?

JBL comes out during RAW on the 16th, and, par normal, talks some trash. He then says it is his destiny to beat the Undertaker’s streak at Wrestlemania (ha). Then, just when we’re abut to change the channel… Oh! Oh! Shawn!Shawn Micheals comes out with an intent look on his face. He challenges JBL to a match next week (the 23rd) to see who faces The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 25! I think HBK will win this match and the two remaining RAW originals will fight for ultimate glory at the 25th anniversary of Wrestlemania! However, I’m usually in a fantasy world, so I’ll tell you what I think should happen.JBL and HBK battle it out, but neither men win after a double count-out or something. Shane or Stephanie make the decision that it will be Undertaker vs HBK vs JBL. Now, all of us will call this a “Best Texan Match”, as Undertaker has been billed from Houston and technically lives there, there’s one of two ways this could go. One, winner gets a world title shot or two, and most likely of scenarios, it becomes a “Loser Retires” match. *Jay waits as the collective gasps and whispers simmer down*Yes, a “Loser Retires” match. This leads to the scenarios that JBL can never get back to 100%, HBK and Undertaker are both getting too old, and one of them has to pin the other to send them to the retirement home.

Each of these has their own unique ways of coming about.1) Undertaker: Undertaker loses the match at his last Wrestlemania. Everyone cries, but we all know it’s his time. Undertaker comes back once and a while over the next three years for special appearances, but WWE has a huge whole to feel with his absence. I see it being HBK who pins him, continuing the general feeling of him being “The only one to handle the deamons that come with ending someone’s carrer.”2) John Layfield: John’s back just won’t go right. He doesn’t feel like he can do it anymore. Layfield keeps his Fox Business job and, maybe, even goes back to commentating (with a little work he could be as good as Tazz…). Layfield probably wouldn’t disappear forever, if he retired or not. Either man could really be the one ending it here.3) Shawn Micheals: If he doesn’t lose the match, he becomes the new Ric Flair very quickly. Every wrestler will be the one to “end” him, and depending on which way he wants to go, he’ll either help the new good guys with wisdom or the bad guys with dirty tactics. I can only see Undertaker beating him, really. So, that’s it, that’s all I got. You’ve seen my favorite scenarios, and, as is the purpose of all these articles, I hope it gets your minds working as well.

Next week, which actually is in two weeks, as mentioned earlier, I’m going to talk about Captain Charisma himself, Christian “Cage”. I hope you join me when we go into… The Mind of a Maniac

7 Things You Might Not Know About Cannondale Ironman and Cannondale

The following article contains 7 tips about cannondale.

There is a lot of information about cannondale and cannondale ironman online, so we thought that it would make sense to give you just a few tips to give you an idea of what is out there.

I’m sure that you will be pleased with what we’ve found out about cannondale.

Tip #1

People are buying bicycles to take care of their fitness as many go riding every morning or on weekends instead of jogging. Others are interested in its sporting value and use the bicycle for hitting the roads, the off roads, doing cross country and for rolling up mountainous terrain.

Tip #2

The fear of bicycles, also known as cyclophobia is just like any other fear. Many times a fear of bicycle has to do with riding the bicycle rather then becoming anxious whenever you see a bicycle. Some common symptoms of cyclophobia include a rapid heartbeat, tunnel vision, feelings of dread and other signs of anxiety that can range for light symptoms to extreme in which you cannot move and have difficulty breathing.

Tip #3

The simplest and most effective protection is to wear a helmet. Helmets reduce the number of deaths and traumatic brain injuries (TBI), and they reduce overall medical costs.

Tip #4

Bicycle Seats are very important. Many people do not ride a bike because it makes their backside hurt. Your position on the bike is as important as having a comfortable seat to keeping your butt from hurting. Proper seat height makes a big difference in how much weight is on your seat. A common problem is having your seat too low which puts more weight on your backside making riding less comfortable.

Tip #5

Cycling is a very good calorie burning exercise. Therefore, it is helpful for people seeking ways of losing weight. Regular cycling can help them in reducing weight in a perfect, timely and accurate manner without any side effects. One can find cycling equipment in every Gym or health club. Instructors suggest people to do a few minutes of cycling before moving to other tough exercises, because it makes your body active, and causes proper blood circulation in your body, which is really important before doing any tough exercises.

Tip #6

Have you ever noticed that if you take the same route to work day after day, you begin to recognize the faces and vehicles of your fellow commuters? One car will be memorable for its hubcaps, another for its bumper stickers. This woman is always putting on her makeup, that man is always screaming into his Bluetooth. But on my daily commute, there is one person who is memorable above all the others, because this man rides a recumbent bicycle to and from work. Now before you judge this individual as a freak, allow me to explain that I live in Seattle, home of health enthusiasts and liberal environmentalists. In this city, it is normal to have at least one person in the office who arrives and leaves on a bicycle. However, even in Seattle, recumbent cyclists stand out.

Tip #7

The world is bustling with mountain bikes and racing bikes. The companies are mass producing these and amidst this all, most of them lost site of the real essence of the bicycle which is to commute. That is the reason most of the public prefer to travel on a motorcycle or a car. The reason is they provide comfort while traveling.

That’s it for the tips, I hope that you liked them.

Even though I have only shared 7 cannondale and cannondale ironman tips with you, feel free to share this article with anyone who you may feel will benefit.

Who Is Your Favorite Super Hero?

Magnanimously Untitled Article Vol. 4

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010
Hello everybody and welcome back. It’s been a while, but I’ve been busy. However I am back now so you can rest easy. Just a heads up this batch of random thoughts is gonna be ROH heavy since I’ve been watching all their HDNet shows on you tube, and I haven’t been able to have too many thoughts about them in the past. Also I will have the next round in the Jim Johnston Cup, and maybe another HOF inductee. So let’s kick this pig.

First things first if anyone is wondering, the channel on you tube that has all of the ROH shows is ROHBrazil.

I can’t believe they are making me wait till May 2nd for me to get my Roderick Strong fix. However, I have thoroughly enjoyed the likes of Brent Albright and Erik Stevens as well.

I like the new Superstars show WWE has. I like the way it’s presented, and I think the theme song rocks. Plus they devote more time to actually wrestling other than just promo work. That allows better matches, and it brings back exhibition matches where two wrestlers with no storyline involvement with each other can tangle just to put on a good match.

I found out why I was initially attracted to the ROH product. It’s their ring; it looks like there’s a trampoline in the middle. That big black square with the ROH logo reminds me of a trampoline.

I figured out why people are calling Bryan Danielson the best in the world. See, before I had only seen him clean shaven with a shaved head. But I noticed that since he’s grown his hair out, and grown a beard he looks a lot like…Chuck Norris. That’s why he’s the best in the world.

I hate that the first ROH title change since getting a TV deal took place off of ROH television.

Claudio Castagnoli cracks me up. Bein all European and what not.

I like this Kenny Omega guy, he just seems cool.

So I recently heard that Jeff might not renew his contract, but I’m not really buying that.

Well, Mick Foley is a World Champion again, and a hell…maybe, I don’t know for sure. Oh, well. In a week of holding the title he’s already been a better champion than I thought he would be. I just hope he loses it at Sacrifice.

Trevor Murdoch is in TNA now with a cowboy name. Actually, I like it.

I heard amazing Red teams with Suicide in the next TNA episode. I’m glad, I’ve heard a lot about him, but I’ve never been able to see him wrestle. I’m looking forward to it.

An early prediction for the 2010 Royal Rumble…CM Punk. I’m not saying I hope he wins it, and I’m sure I’ll change it by that time.

I was going to do some Backlash predictions, but I didn’t get this in in time so I’ll just go over it quickly.

First off I liked The Steamboat/Jericho match. It was a good match, and it gave Jericho a reason to be on PPV. Steamboat is still pretty good, and he doesn’t seem afraid to do any of his old highflying stuff. Still has the best arm drag in the game.

I missed the first ten minutes of Swagger vs. Christian due to stream problems. What I did see was pretty good. I was expecting Swagger to hold onto the belt for a little longer though. Maybe have an actual feud that built up to Christian winning, but oh well. I liked the ending. Swagger still looks strong, and Christian still looks like Christian.

Punk vs. Kane was a very good match I thought. My only complaint is that I think they made Punk look a little to strong by dominating Kane most of the match. Of course it’s my belief they are currently trying to build up Punk, and he dominated Kane intelligently through out the match so it’s okay. And Kane walked away with the win so it’s all good.

I was honestly disappointed in the I Quit match. My night wasn’t ruined by it by any means, but I know they can do better. I think they need to give them more time. It was a good match though. Mainly spots from Jeff, with brawling from Matthew. I just wish they had done more. There wasn’t a lot of weapons usage. The tying Matt to a table thing was great though. Never seen that before. I figured he was gonna quit before Jeff jumped, but it was all good anyways. I’m wondering if they’re gonna do a Cowboy Bob Orton thing with Matt and his brand new cast.

I wish Orton hadn’t won the title in this match. It just takes away form the reign of it if you ask me. However if it keeps setting up things like him vs. MVP I’ll gladly let it slide. And Triple H is gonna be out for a while, so we can have others rise up to the top of Raw now. The match itself was okay. I liked how Orton won with the punt.

The Last Man Standing match was probably the best match of the night. They made Cena look like Superman, but they did the same thing with Edge. He got up from a super F-U. I thought the match was over then. When he did get up though, I knew the match was gonna be an ass kicker. My only two complaints are that Cena got up from a con chair to on the ramp, and the cheesy explosion when he went through the spotlight. That, by the way, was an awesome ending. I just wish the reign had lasted longer.

I would like to take just a moment to thank everyone who proved that The Vince was the Hulk Hogan of these articles, and I was the Ric Flair. He was pretty popular for a long time, but whose legacy is living on? Mine. And I’ve got you people to thank for it. Taking off the Morpher, and ditching the giant robot, and that whole persona probably helped too, but hey.

Looking forward to my new ROH episode. I can finally give my input into conversations about the promotion now.

I’ll admit, Danielson is very very good. But he’s got a hell of a ways to go before he can call himself the best in the world. I believe if he tries he can do it though.

I get annoyed at people who call Bryan Danielson American Dragon. Not the people that call The American Dragon Bryan Danielson, or Bryan Danielson The American Dragon. Just American Dragon. I know that was his ring name for a while in Japan, but get over it. He’s Bryan Danielson. When they call him just American Dragon all the time it makes them sound like they are trying to be real smarky.

I’m still itching to see Roderick Strong on the ROH show.

Me and friends are finally able to wrestle again. I’ve got a little make shift ring in four door garage. Hopefully we can wrestle at the YMCA soon again. We’re Next Generation Wrestling by the way. No champs yet, we’re still getting off the ground.

So is like Santino face now or what? I’m getting tired of this tranny.

Did you guys know that Dr. Death Steve Williams had throat cancer, and he has to talk with like something called a stoma. He’s getting a little voice box or something. Anyway Wrestler Rescue or whatever it’s called is taking donations to help pay for it. You can check out a link on the message boards at www.harleyrace.com

Kofi for champ!

The only reason I’m writing this last one is because I need to meet some ridiculous word requirement. My God you can make an article as long you want that doesn’t make it good, why can’t people get that through their heads. Anyway, I like that Jericho is on SmackDown. He’s going to do very well over there.

Well that’s my analysis. I suppose it’s time for the Jim Johnston Cup.

Here are the results. Edge’s Metalingus beat out The Game by 9-5. Shawn kicked The Chairman of the Boards teeth out 10-4. The Rock got bit by the Rattlesnake 9-5. Now this one is interesting. Real American, and R.I.P. tied with 7. In the event of a tie I cast my vote. And there is no denying that Undertaker is the better wrestler. As far as themes go though none beat Hogan. Therefore Hulkamania lives 8-7. So next rounds match ups are as follows:

Edge (Metalingus) vs. Shawn Michaels (Sexy Boy)

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Hulk Hogan (Real American)

Hey didn’t I just do that last one?

That’s all for this week folks. Peace, Love, and Candy
